Seventeen tubs in our data are sold for exactly 6 people, from £349 to £1,899. That is the most crowded size on the market, and the seat count on the box varies a lot in what it means. A tub sold for 6 can be 164 cm across or 218 cm across.
We have not sat in or tested these tubs. Every figure comes from the Amazon.co.uk listing or the maker's page, checked on 30 October 2026.

The size problem
Look at the widths. The two best scorers, the Carrara and the Stockholm, are 170 cm and 164 cm across on the outside. Lay-Z-Spa sells both for 4 to 6 people. Six adults will not sit in comfort in a tub that size. Four will.
If you really want six adults in at once, look at the tubs sold for 6 that measure 196 cm or more:
| Hot tub | Across | Water | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intex PureSpa Jet & Bubble Deluxe | 218 cm | 1,098 litres | £777 |
| Aoxun 208 cm | 208 cm | 1,000 litres | £349 |
| Lay-Z-Spa Paris | 196 cm | Not published | £409 |
| Lay-Z-Spa New York | 196 cm | Not published | £550 |
The MSpa Tuscany (193 cm, octagonal, 1,100 litres) comes close. Note the trade-off: more water takes longer to heat and costs more to keep warm.
Best overall: Lay-Z-Spa Carrara
The Carrara scores 7.1. You get a ThermaCore foam wall (Lay-Z-Spa claims up to 60 % more efficient), a heater in the wall, app control, 140 air jets and a foot massager for £725. Buyers give it 4.5 stars from 36 reviews. Lay-Z-Spa does not publish its water volume or heater wattage.
Treat it as a roomy 4-seater that takes 6 at a squeeze.
Best value: Lay-Z-Spa Rome
The Rome costs £530, or £88 a seat. It is an inflatable, but with an EnergySense insulated liner (the maker claims up to 40 % more efficient), the heater in the wall and app control. The square shape gives everyone a flat side to lean on. 4.5 stars from 25 reviews and a 2-year guarantee.
Cheapest per seat: Aoxun 208 cm
£349 for 6 seats is £58 a seat. At 208 cm it is also one of the widest tubs sold for 6. It holds 1,000 litres, the 1,800 W heater sits in the wall and it has an RCD plug for a 13 A socket. Aoxun itself says 4 adults sit most comfortably. 4.2 stars from 20 reviews and a 2-year guarantee.
The plain wall and insulated cover will not hold heat like a foam tub, so this is a better buy for spring to autumn.
Best for water jets: MSpa Denver
The Denver is the only 6-seater with hydrotherapy jets: four sets on a 1,100 W pump, plus 120 air jets. It has a rigid frame with a TempXcel insulation layer, a UVC sanitiser, LED lights, app control and confirmed 13 A plug and play. It holds 970 litres. MSpa publishes no guarantee and the listing has no reviews yet. More in our hydrotherapy jets guide.
Foam-wall alternatives
- Lay-Z-Spa Stockholm (£1,000): square foam tub, 164 cm, 74 kg empty. 4.2 stars from 19 reviews.
- Wave Garda 6 (£1,210): square foam tub, 1,100 litres. Wave quotes about £2 a day to hold 40 °C. Only 4 reviews.
The rest of the 6-seaters
The Lay-Z-Spa Paris (£409), New York (£550) and Florence (£630), the Wave Atlantic 6 (£570), the Arebos Barcelona 6 (£480), the Nordivale Square 4-6 (£484), the Intex PureSpa Jet & Bubble Deluxe (£777) and the MSpa Tuscany (£1,000), Tribeca (£1,395) and Oslo (£1,699) are all sold for 6. Compare them in the hot tubs for 6 people or more list.
How heavy is a filled 6-seater?
The Aoxun holds 1,000 litres, which weighs 1,000 kg. Add 28 kg of tub and six adults at 80 kg each and you get 1,000 + 28 + 480 = 1,508 kg. Read our decking weight guide and base options before you pick a spot.
Quick answers
Is a 6-person tub worth it for two people? Only if you have guests often. A bigger tub holds more water, so every heat-up takes longer and costs more.
Square or round? For the same width a square tub holds more legs. See our square hot tubs.
Which wall type? Foam or a frame with an insulation layer if you plan to use it in winter. Our wall type guide explains why.
